  5. Run this in the same directory as your DOOM v1.2 registered
  6. DOOM.WAD file.

  9. Up Arrow   - go back one picture
  10. Down Arrow - go forward one picture
  11. Home       - go to first picture
  12. End        - go to last picture
  13. X          - Export current picture to BMP
  14. T          - Toggles 5x3 tiles (for floor/ceiling pictures)
  15. F8         - **EXPORT ALL PICTURES** (Do at your own risk!)
  16. Space bar  - Toggle between graphics/text screen
  17. ?          - Help screen
  18. ESC        - Exits!

  20. Doom 1.2 has been released and DoomEdit has been updated for it.
  21. That means it won't work with 1.1 anymore, but do we really need
  22. it to work with an older version?

  24. Beware of that 'Export All' function.  It's a doozy.  9.19 megs
  25. in 1574 files will be let loose on your hard drive.  It takes
  26. just over a minute on my 486/66.

  28. The way Doom displays the walls and floors/ceilings are
  29. completely different.  You will be able to tell when you get to
  30. the floor pictures - they are the last ones and they are all
  31. 64x64 pixels.  All the other pictures are of varying sizes.
  32. When you are viewing a floor/ceiling piece, you can hit T to
  33. tile the pictures in a 5x3 pattern on the screen.  So you can
  34. see how it looks when you export it and use it as OS/2
  35. wallpaper.  (You are using OS/2, right?  You do have a brain,
  36. right?  Still carrying a torch for CP/M?!?)
  37. Hmmm...just thought of something.  It exports as a Windows BMP,
  38. not the OS/2 kind.  Oh well.
