- Doom 1.2 has been released and DoomEdit has been updated for it.
- That means it won't work with 1.1 anymore, but do we really need
- it to work with an older version?
-
- Beware of that 'Export All' function. It's a doozy. 9.19 megs
- in 1574 files will be let loose on your hard drive. It takes
- just over a minute on my 486/66.
-
- The way Doom displays the walls and floors/ceilings are
- completely different. You will be able to tell when you get to
- the floor pictures - they are the last ones and they are all
- 64x64 pixels. All the other pictures are of varying sizes.
- When you are viewing a floor/ceiling piece, you can hit T to
- tile the pictures in a 5x3 pattern on the screen. So you can
- see how it looks when you export it and use it as OS/2
- wallpaper. (You are using OS/2, right? You do have a brain,
- right? Still carrying a torch for CP/M?!?)
- Hmmm...just thought of something. It exports as a Windows BMP,
- not the OS/2 kind. Oh well.
-
- Questions? Comments? Rantings? Ravings? Love it? Hate it?
- Crash your system?!?! (Never!)
- Drop me a line. Get up close and personal by calling my BBS, or
- be high-tech - Internet me, baby!
- skibone@rci.ripco.com
- Give that a shot. I'm not sure if that's the address or not.
- Hell, I haven't even sent or received anything yet. I'm an
- Internet virgin! Ack! Ack!
- If that address works, and you really love the program, e-mail
- me some cash! (Ain't the information superhighway cool?!?) ;)
